Hello, my name is Mike, and I’m really bad at these introductions, but here goes!
Runner-up for “World’s Sexiest Geek.” Once rescued a box of kittens (and a fireman!) from a burning barn. 5-star chef. OK, I exaggerated a teensy bit. But I am cute, smart, will make you laugh, and can fix your computer; I rescue cats; and I’m a good cook. I’m also a musician, a writer, and a casual gamer. My personality type is Myers-Briggs INFP, and Enneagram 4 (“The Romantic”) – I’m empathetic, emotional, and artistic by nature. Insight and compassion are my highest values. My politics are progressive, and religion Buddhist and pagan.
Well, that’s the blurb version of me; I hope you find the idea of a man who’s witty and emotionally available attractive, and you’re interested enough to want to want to read on further, where I get less polished and more natural.
I’m looking for a friend and lover, somebody with whom we can both feel safe and sexy. Yes, I am emotional, and I make no apologies for that: things have to feel right first. I guess I wish I could be all studly and casual, but I’m all about the love. (But that doesn’t make me vanilla: with somebody I love, I’ll consider anything.) I want a fellow oddball; somebody quirky, neurodivergent. We’ll know each other. We’ll just click. But there has to be that bond of empathy, that caring.
I grew up in a suburb near the beaches. Went off to college, dropped out of grad school (English) to take care of my family, eventually got divorced. Met somebody, got married, but wife discovered she’s polyamorous and I'm trying to cope. I’m a romantic. To me, love should be like _The Princess Bride._ I need to have this with somebody.
With media, I favor humor, adult and other cartoons, fantasy, science fiction, documentary, drama, the occasional action movie, and somehow still get excited about superheroes for reasons that escape me. My sense of humor is pretty dark and geeky, and OMG will I love you if yours matches! I love Archer and Futurama and Criminal Minds and so much more… and I still love The Simpsons, even though it’s a different show than it used to be.
For fun, I like hanging out with friends, playing games like D&D or trivia. Or watching movies and TV together. Having discussions about anything under the sun. We’re geeks, so it’s going to be heavy on science fiction and fantasy and comedy, but hey, anything goes! I also read and play video games when solo. I wish I were more interested in sports, but I’m willing to be taught.
I’m a musician, playing guitar (that covers up about four or five red flags, eh?), bass, keys, some bad vocals, and a few band instruments. I also compose music. But as an introvert, I prefer to record than to play.
