Me describiría a mi mismo como
I am looking for a long term relationship with a true partner, someone that likes the same things, and that I mesh with intellectually, emotionally and physically. I don't think about my age, don't look my age, and don't complain about aches and pains and physical problems, and don't want to listen to anyone that does! I am active physically and mentally. I am an active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. I fence (yes, with swords!) and love target archery using a traditional bow. I camp often at SCA events and travel 3 -4 hours in one direction to do so. I sew and design costumes for myself and other SCA members.
I am looking for someone that is not afraid of their needs/wants and desires and that will be open and honest with me and communicate. I have just gotten out of a long, long term relationship, so I'd like to begin a relationship as friends first and see how things develop.
I would like to find someone that makes me laugh and has the ability to comfort and empathize (as I do). I would like to be able to work together and hang out without pressure to do stuff unless we both want to.
Dogs are not "just dogs" to me. I love them and they are an important part of my life. I own several poodles of varying size and sometimes foster a dog from the animal shelter.
I am looking for someone that is able to give and receive love with an open heart and mind.
I have curves (I'm told, in all the right places!) and I'll never be a skinny gal. I like food and wine and mead and I'm not opposed to trying new foods, but willing to say, "that's not for me". I don't get drunk and don't deal well with drunkenness. I'm not interested in anyone that takes drugs in any form .
I am open and loving and warm, if a little too emotional sometimes. At the end of the day, I may want my feet rubbed and to cuddle in front of the tv before dinner. I am very physical and like to touch and be touched.
I have one child of high school age who has some mild disabilities. She is well behaved and fun to be around. I don't mind if you have children, but I would prefer not to deal with ex-wives and custody ugliness. My ex is not in the picture.
I am not looking for any "open" relationships. I am a monogamist and have never cheated on my partner. I expect the same.
I prefer rock music (80's to contemporary), Country music is okay, but if you are a died in the wool country boy, we are not meant to be. I like a boyish look, but neat trimmed facial hair is okay. A great smile and nice eyes are always a plus!
